Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, BMO Finanical Group


Jolie Lin is vice president and deputy general counsel, Canadian personal and commercial banking, and assistant corporate secretary.

She is accountable for managing legal and regulatory risk for Canadian personal and commercial banking business as well as corporate finance division, treasury and payment solutions and SAMU lines of business in Canada.

She was most recently vice president & deputy general counsel, technology & operations and chief knowledge officer.

Prior to BMO, Jolie practiced for almost 20 years in the financial services group at Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP where she represented a diversified group of institutional lenders, banks, real estate investment trusts, pension funds, and large corporate borrowers. She joined BMO in 2009.

Lin received her bachelor of law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. She is a board member of Canada’s National Ballet School, and a member of Women General Counsel Canada.
